Cattails

It was a near fall-like day. The sky was clear and crisp and so I headed out to paint in Lake Oswego at the old Hunt Club that now serves as a horse stable.  I walked around for some time and settled on something that I first believed to be a rather boring subject and began to paint. As the piece was coming along, it began to reveal subtle neutral color shifts that hushed of the coming season.
